DynCorp International and Thiess Pty. Ltd. Form Joint Ventureto Pursue Australian Defense Sector Government Contracts

New Agreement Reflects Countries’ Long-Standing MutualCommitment

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (December 6, 2007) – DynCorpInternational (NYSE: DCP) announced today a partnership with ThiessPty. Ltd to pursue Australian government contracts in the defensesector. The joint venture will follow a model that is independentof original equipment manufacturers (OEM) to offer scalableservices to the Australian Department of Defence, as well as otherforces. 

The joint venture’s initial pursuits will be forThrough-Life-Support (TLS) programs offered by the Defence MaterialOrganization including Main Battle Tanks (M1A1 Abrams), AustralianLight Armored Vehicles (ASLAV), transport vehicles, andself-propelled 155mm guns. The pursuit of maintenance andlogistics-support programs for aircraft and other land vehicleswill also be considered. 

DynCorp International’s status as a service provider for the U.S.Armed Forces, the U.S. Department of State, and export marketsprovides the joint venture with expert skills in aviation and landmaintenance. DynCorp International has been working with the U.S.Department of Defense for nearly 60 years. 

Thiess Pty. Ltd is a leading integrated engineering and servicesprovider with diverse operations throughout Australia, South EastAsia, and the Pacific. Thiess Pty. Ltd has delivered some ofAustralia’s largest and most complex infrastructure projectsthrough its building, civil engineering, mining, and industrialservices, including the operation and maintenance of TLS industrialassets.

A ceremony was held September 19 at the Australian ParliamentHouse, with the Australian Minister for Defence presiding, inanticipation of this final agreement. The Embassy of Australia alsohosted a signing ceremony on December 3 to solidify theagreement.
