MCLEAN, VA – (January 11, 2017) – The U.S. Army has again awarded DynCorp International (DI) a contract to provide Land Mobile Radio (LMR) support in Kosovo.
DI team members will continue providing services including repair and maintenance of Motorola land mobile radio equipment and transmission systems including handheld, base mounted and remote repeater sites. DI has supported Kosovo Forces (KFOR) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) since 2007 in Kosovo providing a variety of services including mentoring, aviation maintenance, force protection and base support.
“We are excited that our contract performance and commitment to excellence has been recognized with this award,” said Randy Bockenstedt, senior vice president, Logistics Business Unit. “We look forward to continuing our partnership and providing mission critical LMR support to our NATO allies in Kosovo, where we have supported the U.S. Army and other customers for several years.”
The LMR re-procurement represents the excellent service and professionalism that DI has provided the U.S. Army’s mission in Kosovo since being awarded the initial Land Mobile Radio contract in June 2014. DI’s LMR team develops improvements to the network and engineers solutions that directly enhance mission capability. The DI mission is critical to maintaining communications for the U.S. Army, NATO and civilian support contractors in the region.
The competitively-awarded contract has one base year beginning December 16, 2016, with two six-month options and a total contract value of $955K.
