FALLS CHURCH, Va. (September 2, 2011) – DynCorpInternational (DI) today announced that it has been awarded acontract with the United States Navy for the operation andmaintenance of Communication Suites aboard Military Sealift Commandvessels.
“We are honored that the U.S. Navy has chosen us for thisimportant contract, expanding our relationship with the Navy andhighlighting our experience in the communications space,” saidGeorge Krivo, vice president of DI’s Operations and MaintenanceBusiness area.
The competitively-awarded, fixed-price contract has one baseyear and four option years with a total contract value of $20.9million if all options are exercised. This is the third consecutiveaward of this program to the company; the first award of thiscontract to the company was in July 2001, for five years, with asecond follow-on award in Oct 2006, again for five years. Under thenew contract, DI will provide operations and maintenance serviceson three maritime prepositioning squadrons and up to nine JointHigh Speed Vessels (JHSV), with the first JHSV beginning October 1,2011 out of Mobile, Ala.
