MCLEAN, Va. – (July 28, 2016) – The U.S. Air Force has awarded DynCorp International (DI) a $29 million task order for Southwest Asia (SWA) Transient Aircraft Services (TAS). Awarded under the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program IV (AFCAP IV), work will be performed in multiple countries – Afghanistan, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Jordan.
“We are pleased to start the new AFCAP IDIQ on a positive note,” said Randy Bockenstedt, DI senior vice president of DynLogistics. “AFCAP IV began in October of last year and while this is the second task order to be awarded, it’s rather larger than the first.”
On the Southwest Asia TAS, DI will be providing transient aircraft services at specific locations in the southwest Asia region. DI will provide all personnel, supervision and other services as necessary to operate fixed and rotary wing aircraft.
“We are really excited as this is our first win under AFCAP IV,” said Tim Gahr, DI AFCAP program manager. “We look forward to providing Aircraft Transient Services to the U.S. and coalition forces serving in the Middle East over the next five years.”
The task order began in May 2016 and has one base year, four option years and one six-month option period.
