DynCorp International Donates to GoFundMe Page for Fallen DART Officer

MCLEAN, Va. (July 18, 2016) – DynCorp International has donated two thousand dollars to the Thompson family’s GoFundMe support page in memory of fallen DART police officer Brent Thompson, a victim in the recent police shooting in Dallas and a former DI employee.

“We are saddened that one of our alumni, who gave so much to this nation and his community, was killed in this terrible tragedy,” said CEO Lou Von Thaer. “I’ve been hearing from many employees who worked with Brent overseas and they have expressed such fond memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.”

Brent Thompson worked on DI’s Civilian Police (CIVPOL) training and mentoring program from 2005-2008, serving in Baghdad, Iraq, and Kabul and Kandahar, Afghanistan.

“I attended the memorial service for Brent Thompson and was joined by several former CIVPOL employees,” said Mike Warren, DI Care Employee Assistance Program VP. “The service was well-attended and reflected the community’s support of the Thompson family during this difficult time.”
