DynCorp International Mourns Loss of WRA Team Member

FALLS CHURCH, Va. (November 20, 2010) – Amember of DynCorp International’s Weapons Removal and Abatementteam was tragically killed in Afghanistan on November 20, 2010.Mark Fitzpatrick, 34, of Priorslee, Telford in the UK, wasconducting ammunition disposal and demolition operations in theParwan province when he lost his life. 

“Mark gave his life working to support a safer and more secureAfghanistan,” said DynCorp International Chairman and CEO SteveGaffney. “Thousands of brave men and women put their lives on theline each day to support our operations in remote and hostile areasaround the world – their courage and sacrifices cannot be measured.We are deeply saddened by this loss and our hearts go out to all ofMark’s family, friends and colleagues.”

DynCorp International works in areas around the world to supportthe U.S. Department of State’s Office of Weapons Removal andAbatement.
