FALLS CHURCH, Va. (Sept. 6, 2006) – DynCorpInternational (NYSE: DCP) has transferred its principal executiveoffices to Falls Church, Virginia, effective August 31, 2006. Thecompany was previously headquartered in Irving, Texas, with severalexecutive functions already located in Falls Church.
The transfer of headquarters is not expected to affect thenumber of employees in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, where thecompany employs approximately 600 people and will continue to havea strong presence.
DynCorp International Chairman Robert B. McKeon first discussedthe transfer in an investor conference call held on July 18, 2006,while introducing the company’s new CEO, Herbert J. Lanese.Explaining that Mr. Lanese would work primarily out of theWashington-area office, Mr. McKeon said, “The company right now isheadquartered in Dallas and we have a lot of…key functions downhere. But…it’s important to have the very senior leadership inWashington close to our customers.”
The federal government is DynCorp International’s largestcustomer.
