FALLS CHURCH, Va. (September 24, 2009) -DynCorp International (NYSE:DCP) was awarded a contract by the U.S.Air Force to provide aircraft maintenance support at Sheppard AirForce Base. The value of the contract is $31.2 million for the baseperiod, and a potential maximum value of $230 million over sevenyears, if all options are exercised.
Under the contract, DynCorp International will provide aircraftmaintenance services for the 80th Flying Training Wing based atSheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. The contract hasan initial base period of eleven months, and six optionyears.
The mission of the Air Education and Training Command’s 80thFlying Training Wing is to provide undergraduate pilot training forthe U.S. and NATO allies in the Euro NATO Joint Jet Pilot Trainingprogram. Graduates of this prestigious program are assigned tofighter pilot positions in their respective air forces.
