IRVING, Texas (December 21, 2005) – TheUnited States Navy has awarded DynCorp International LLC a contractto provide maintenance and support services for the Kuwaiti AirForce F/A-18 program under the Foreign Military Sales Program. Thecontract is for one year plus four option years. It is valued at$13,683,264 in 2006 and has a five-year potential value of nearly$64 million dollars. This is a repeat award for DynCorpInternational, which has held the contract since 1997.
The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Md., is thecontracting activity for this cost-plus-fixed-fee contract.
The work includes organizational and intermediate-level aviationmaintenance support for 39 F/A-18 aircraft, supply support, qualitycontrol, audit review of maintenance and supply, on-the-jobtraining, and maintenance and material documentation services forF/A-18s assigned to the Kuwait Air Force.
DynCorp International also will continue to provide organization-and intermediate-level aviation maintenance support for 39 F/A-18aircraft, supply support, quality control, audit review ofmaintenance and supply, on-the-job training, and maintenance andmaterial documentation services. The company will continue tomaintain and operate a fleet of general and special-purposevehicles including cranes, tugs, and material-handling equipment,oversee inventory control of all aviation support personalequipment (ASPE) assets, and manage the receipt, storage, and issueof Class V ammunition.
