DynCorp International Awarded U.S. Air Force War Reserve Materiel Contract

FALLS CHURCH, Va. – June 2, 2008 – The U.S. Air Force has awarded DynCorp International (NYSE:DCP) a contract to manage U.S. Air Force War Reserve Materiel (WRM) assets pre-positioned in strategic sites in the Persian Gulf.  Under the contract DynCorp International will manage military resources and materials, including expeditionary airfield resources, fuel support equipment, aerospace ground equipment, munitions, medical equipment, vehicles, rations and associated spares and other consumables. DynCorp International will have responsibility for receipt, inventory, accountability, maintenance, repair, periodic inspection, security, shipping and other aspects of supporting and managing these resources.

“We are very happy to receive this award.  First, it is an honor to contribute to our nation’s security by helping keep our Air Force ready for the challenges it faces in the region. Second, we look forward to continuing the partnership we have had with the Air Force on this contract since 2000,” said DynCorp International President and CEO William L. Ballhaus. “The Air Force’s decision to award this contract to DynCorp International again shows that through our performance we have gained their trust. That is our most valued commodity.”

The contract, which contains firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-award-fee elements, has a base year award of $47.8 million and a total potential value of $418.5 million if all option years are exercised. DynCorp International was the incumbent, and has been managing the U.S. Air Force WRM program since 2000.
