RAMSTEIN AIR BASE - GERMANY

Our Ramstein Support Team is responsible for not only ensuring operational readiness for the entire C-21A fleet at the base, but for rapidly deploying for recovery of aircraft anywhere in the European and African AORs - from Greenland to all regions of Africa and the Middle East. With increased activity throughout the European area, we are on constant aero-medical evacuation alert status, with two specially configured C-21A.

PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE - COLORADO

"I wanted to say thank you very much for the work you and your guys did to get 374 fixed and into the cargo configuration on Saturday for Sunday's mission. We got the mission late Friday and I know it caused some uncertainty with the schedule until late in the day. We accomplished two missions yesterday - we took our one-star Wing Commander from Denver to St Louis and then took 14 boxes (about 50 pounds each) of donated blood from Ft Leonard Wood, MO to Ft Hood, TX to be processed. The elapsed time is critical from the time of donation to the time of processing of the blood - thus the need for the airlift to the processing center. We fit 14 boxes into the aircraft, which in the number of times I've done this is the most we've ever carried. I know there will be lives saved in the AOR due to this effort. As I tell everyone I can, as often as I can - Peterson has the best C-21 maintenance."

- Paul E. Follett, Lt Col, COANG
Commander, 200th Airlift Squadron
