MCLEAN, Va. – (July 16, 2018) – The Dallas Business Journal’s (DBJ) 5th annual Women in Technology Awards celebrated 25 honorees hand-picked as vital female leaders from diverse industries across North Texas. The award highlights leaders that are developing technology and promoting STEM careers.
DynCorp International’s CIO, Madhuri Andrews, was one of the leaders recognized at the ceremony on May 22 at the Westin Galleria in Dallas.
The event opened with a social mixer and soon adjourned to the banquet hall where the ceremony continued with a casual interview of Elizabeth Killinger, president of Reliant and NRG Retail, one of North Texas’ top energy suppliers. Attendees then learned about the history and importance of women in the business community from a representative of the DBJ, founded in 1977 as the leading source for local business news, research and events in the DFW area.
Madhuri was the first honoree called up and recognized at the event, followed by women from both large public entities and smart upstarts. Attendees were given a brief description of some thoughtful innovation at their organizations and illustrations of their tenacity, perseverance and diligence.
“It was an honor to be recognized for my work at DI. I’d like to thank my team for all of their outstanding contributions that make this award possible,” said Madhuri Andrews, VP and Chief Information Officer. “It was humbling to be commended with so many great leaders from across North Texas.”
The women honored were from companies such as the Center for BrainHealth, NTT Data Services, GE Embedded Solutions, AIG, AT&T, Intuit ProConnect Group, Toyota Motor North America, Ericsson, Children’s Health, Accenture Digital Southwest, FedEx Services, Reddy Ice and Texas Instruments, among others.
Congratulations to Madhuri for her recognition in this award.
