FALLS CHURCH, Va. (April 18, 2008) — TheU.S. Army Sustainment Command has again selected DynCorpInternational (NYSE:DCP) as one of three providers of logisticssupport to the U.S. Army under the Logistics Civil AugmentationProgram (LOGCAP) IV contract. The LOGCAP IV contract has a term ofup to 10 years and a potential annual value to DynCorpInternational of $5 billion in gross revenue.
Under this contract, DynCorp International will support U.S.forces worldwide with immediate focus on those deployed in theMiddle East. DynCorp International holds several importantlogistics and contingency contracts for the U.S. military, and wasthe sole holder of the LOGCAP II contract from 1997-2002.
DynCorp International is teamed with CH2M Hill and TaosIndustries, Inc. (a subsidiary of Agility Defense & GovernmentServices) for LOGCAP IV.
The initial award of the LOGCAP IV contract was made June 26,2007, but as a result of a protest of the award to the GAO the U.S.Army requested new proposals for evaluation.
LOGCAP IV is the Army component of the Department of Defense’sefforts to award contracts with U.S. companies for a broad range oflogistics and support to U.S. and allied forces during combat,peacekeeping, humanitarian, and training operations. These servicesinclude facilities, supplies, maintenance, and transportation. TheLOGCAP objective is to use civilian contractors to perform selectedservices in a theater of operations to augment Army forces andrelease military units for other missions or to fillshortfalls.
