McLean, VA – (July 11, 2019) – On March 27, the Air Force Installation Contracting Agency, 338th Specialized Contracting Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio, Randolph, Texas, awarded DynCorp International (DI) a sole-source, $18.6 million firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract for J85 engine maintenance. The period of performance runs from April 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.
This contract provides for managing the full cycle of production by planning, scheduling, directing, and controlling all maintenance on jet engines and support equipment, as well as monitoring serviceable base stock levels and target serviceable requirements of each customer. Work will be performed at Laughlin Air Force Base, Texas, which is home to the nation’s largest and most experienced J85 workforce.
