MCLEAN, Va. – (November 10, 2017) – The Army Aviation Association of America (AAAA) will recognize DynCorp International (DI) with the 2017 Materiel Readiness Award at the Joseph P. Cribbins Aviation Product Symposium in Huntsville, Alabama on November 15, 2017. The Materiel Readiness Award for a Contribution by a Major Contractor recognizes the major defense contractor that has made an outstanding contribution to the materiel readiness and logistic support of U.S. Army Aviation.
“We are honored and humbled to receive this recognition,” said Scott Rauer, Aviation Operations & Life Cycle Management (AOLC) VP. “Our hundreds of team members contributed to the Army’s top priority – readiness – by ensuring that Army aircraft are ready to deploy and fight when called upon.”
DI has provided full-spectrum aerospace, aviation and air operations solutions worldwide for decades and the Aviation and Missile Command’s (AMCOM) Army Field Maintenance (AFM) effort is a key program. DI’s award nomination is largely based on the Army Aviation-focused readiness contributions by the AFM’s Regional Aviation Support Management – West (RASM-W), Theater Aviation Sustainment Manager – OCONUS (TASM-O) and Storage, Analysis, Failure Evaluation and Reclamation (SAFR) teams. On these programs, DI team members provide high-quality logistical, direct organizational, intermediate and limited depot-level maintenance, maintenance operations and administrative support.
AAAA was formed in early 1957 by a small group of senior aviation officers in the active Army, the Reserve Forces of the U.S. Army and industry. The mission of the AAAA is to support the United States Army Aviation soldier and family.
