FALLS CHURCH, Va. (August 26, 2008) – The U.S.Army Corps of Engineers, Afghan Engineering District, has awardedDynCorp International (NYSE:DCP) a $18.1 million constructionproject supporting the Afghanistan National Civil Order Police. Theproject will provide offices, living and operational facilities,motor pool, guard towers and a perimeter wall for 305 policepersonnel with the Patrol Unit Brigade Headquarters and PatrolBattalion in Garmser, Helmand Province, Afghanistan. Work will becompleted in a period of 360 days.
This firm, fixed-price task order is the second to DynCorpInternational under the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers indefinitedelivery/indefinite quantity contract for general construction inAfghanistan.
The award is the latest in a series of construction projects inAfghanistan managed by DynCorp International that include theAfghanistan National Army garrisons in Jalalabad and Kunduz.
