FALLS CHURCH, Va. (December 10, 2007) – TheU.S. Army Corps of Engineers has awarded Dyncorp International a$49 million construction project for a new Afghan National ArmyGarrison in Jalalabad. The new garrison in eastern Afghanistan nearthe Pakistani border will accommodate up to 4,000 Afghantroops.
At full build-out, the 160-acre site will support 50 buildingssuch as dormitories, dining facilities, training rooms, offices,maintenance and security structures, and a full complement ofwater, sewer, power, and telecommunication systems.
