The Thanksgiving food drive raised $2,616 plus 1,775 food items for Westaid, a Fort Worth charity the company has supported for decades. “Even when times are tough, DI employees have huge hearts and give generously in the spirit of the season,” said Jessica Davis, who leads the project in Texas.
- Jessica also heads up the annual Angel Tree project, and this year DI employees in Texas donated more than 600 gift packages to the Tarrant County Child and Adult Protective Services, making it a happier holiday season for hundreds of children and adults.
- In Falls Church, Lindsay Sylmar organized the annual holiday party and raffle that raised $501 for Toys for Tots.
- To support breast cancer research, DI’s corporate office in Falls Church raised $1,400 and the Fort Worth/Alliance office raised $3,165 for Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Thanks to HR’s Tracye King and BD’s Jessica Davis for their initiative, time, and dedication in leading these drives. Jessica Davis and Debbie Hurt walked 60 miles and Dewayne Hevelone provided logistical support for the Dallas/Fort Worth 3-Day Walk for the Cure, raising an additional $4,300.
